Office Manager
Debby Steinbarger
Debby joined ACT Research as office manager in December, 2012, bringing with her several years of experience in customer service, accounts payable, and scheduling. Most recently, Debby was employed by the Bartholomew County School Corporation (BCSC) as the organization’s sub-coordinator, where she hired and managed a substitute pool of 300-400 teachers for the group’s 17 schools, as well as oversaw switchboard operations and supply purchasing for the corporation’s business office. In addition, she was responsible for running the organization’s monthly docket, processing more than $3 million in transactions. Before spending nine years at BCSC, Debby spent eight years as a CNA, eight years as a stay-at-home mom, working part-time jobs around her two children’s schedules, and five years with Irwin Union Bank as a teller and customer service representative. She also attended Ivy Tech and IUPUC in Columbus.
Debby’s two children are grown now, but she watches her two “grand puppies” daily. Additionally, she is a very active member of her church community and an avid sports fan, particularly of the college team for which her daughter coaches. In her spare time, Debby and her husband enjoy hosting frequent get-togethers for family and friends.
